History of the Temple

The temple was built in the early 16th century by Maharaja Dhanya Manikya, a devoted follower of Maa Durga.

Legend says that the king was divinely instructed in a dream by the Goddess herself to establish her idol here. Since then, the temple has become a center of immense faith and devotion, standing strong for over 500 years.
